Greece: PhD Studentships in Computational Field
Subject: 3 Ph.D Studentships, University of Peloponnese
Applications are invited for 3 Ph.D. Studentships in the followingareas:
1. Computational Geometry with applications in systems GIS and CAD. This Position is funded by the Greek General Secretary of Research and Technology (PENED 2003)
2. Applied Numerical Analysis with Applications on Computational Physics and Computational Chemistry. Position not funded
3. Computational Science. Position not funded
The successful candidate must have a solid background in Mathematicsand a strong interest in Computational Science. Background inChemistry and/or Physics and experience in programming (particularlyFortran, Matlab, Mathematica and C) are a plus.
The Computational Science Laboratory in the Department of ComputerScience and Technology of the University of Peloponnese is composed by3 staff members (Prof. T.E. Simos, Dr. D. Vlachos and Mr. D. Sakas)and several Ph.D. students. It is highly active in various branches ofApplied Numerical Analysis - Computational Science (please visit:http://www.uop.gr/~simos/).
