Germany: PhD Studentships at The Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS), The University of Bremen
The Graduate School of Social Sciences (GSSS) at theUniversity of Bremen invites applications to its3-year Ph.D. program from October 1, 2007 to September30, 2010. The GSSS is part of an international networkof graduate education and is funded by the VolkswagenFoundation.
The GSSS offers 9 stipends for Ph.D. fellows of 1000Euro/month for 36 months, contingent on successfulcompletion of each year. Funding is also available forempirical research and travel.
We invite applications within the three thematicfields of the GSSS:
- Transnational Relations and Political Theory
- Welfare State Transformation
- Social Change and the Life Course
Foreign students are encouraged to apply.As the University of Bremen intends to increase theproportion of female employees in science women areparticularly encouraged to apply.
In case of equal personal aptitudes and qualificationdisabled persons will be given priority.
