PhD Position in Numerical Analysis or Scientific Computing, Universitaet Karlsruhe (TH), Germany

The research group Numerical Methods for high-dimensional Systems at the Mathematical Department of Universitaet Karlsruhe (TH) invites applications for a full PhD position (BAT IIa / E13) in numerical analysis or scientific computing.

Candidates must have graduated in mathematics, physics, bioinformatics or computer science. The position requires sound understanding of numerical mathematics, in particular a good knowledge of numerical methods for partial and ordinary differential equations. The candidate must be familiar with MATLAB and C++ or Java. German language skills are not necessary provided that the candidate has a sufficient level of written and spoken English.
