Germany: Ph.D in Mathematics in Industrial & Commerce Program, Kaiserslautern Graduate School
There are several sponsors of scholarships, for either full or partial support. Since there are no tuition fees at German universities, the scholarship generally covers living expenses during the study. The Graduate School provides a limited number of scholarships available only for highly qualified applicants. Scholarship holders are selected by a commission consisting of members of the Department of Mathematics, and of the Fraunhofer-Institute for Industrial Mathematics which is the main sponsor. Besides this, DAAD provides scholarships for the Sandwich PhD Programme. Application for both scholarships can be sent directly to the Graduate School. For other sources of funding, the candidate must apply independently. See DAAD scholarship database for more information about other possible scholarships. Christian organizations like KAAD and ÖSW provide individual scholarships. Several countries support their citizen as they study abroad, e.g., via Asian Development Bank scholarships, or credits under certain conditions.
