The Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA) is searching for agraduate level academic researcher for its Research Unit “Macroeconomics”. MEA wasfounded to help evaluate, anticipate and accompany the micro- and macroeconomic aspects ofdemographic change. Among the aims of the research unit is to develop and administermacroeconomic simulation models that help to predict these developments. Future researchwill have a strong focus on various risk aspects involved.Besides profound knowledge in macroeconomics, strong interest in quantitative methods andeconomic applications is required. The completion of a Ph.D. thesis is expected and will besupported.
