Germany: Erasmus Mundus Grants, International MSc Program in Computational Logic
Erasmus Mundus grants will be available again for the Winter Semester 2006/07. The deadline for applications is 15th March 2006. Please apply now. Students with good grades who will finish the Bachelor study in Summer are encouraged to apply for this program presenting a temporarily transcript.
Study Prerequisites
The following prerequisites must be fulfilled by students applying for the International MSc Program in Computational Logic:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a comparable university degree (by the time courses begin)
- English-Language certificate (for non-native speakers of English only)
- Since the medium of instruction in the Master’s Program is English, students whose first language is not English must demonstrate competence in English. We recognize many different tests. In the most commonly available, the following minimum scores are required: o IELTS: Level 6.0
o TOEFL: 550 scores, computer based: 213 scores
* Certificates indicating the achievement of “good” (grade B) or “very good” (grade A) in the following areas:
o Foundations of Mathematical Logic
o Foundations of Artificial Intelligence

Applications to the International MSc Program in Computational LogicIf you fulfill the prerequisites, you may apply for the International MSc Program in Computational Logic using this application form. Please fill in the form. In addition, you are asked to provide us with certified copies of certificates relevant to the course prerequisites.
Your application must contain the following documents:
- Application form
- Curriculum Vitae
- Statement of purpose
- Reports on university examinations (transcripts) and diploma (certified copies)
- English language certificate as stated here
- Two letters of reference
- For Chinese students only: The original APS certificate

GermanyThe deadline for applications is 15th June for courses commencing in October the same year. Please consider special deadlines for different scholarship programs (i. e. for Erasmus-Mundus: 15th March)!
Complete applications are evaluated by the local Course Examination Board. If your application is successful, the Board is going to mail you a confirmation letter, stating that you are accepted for the MSc Program. Simultaneously, we pass on your application details to the Registration Office at the Technische Universität Dresden.
German students should report to the TUD Immatrikulationsamt directly if they arrive here at the beginning of the semester.
International students are going to receive a letter from the TUD International Office with a certificate referred to as “Zulassungsbescheid”. This letter should be used to apply for a student visa at the German Embassy of their home country. Please note that you are not allowed to study with a tourist visa only.
