Germany: Doctoral Scholarships from The Gerda Henkel Foundation
The Gerda Henkel Foundation offers doctoral and research scholarshipsto German and scientists with other nationalities in the historical humanities.
In particular research projects in the following fields are supported:History, Prehistory and early History, Archaeology, Art History,Historic Islamic Studies and Legal History.
Applications may be submitted to the Gerda Henkel Foundation’s head officeat any time.
Doctoral Scholarships. Euro 1,030 monthly
Research Scholarships. Euro 1,540 to 1,790 monthly
The most important criteria when deciding if a grant should be awarded,are the academic significance and the quality of the research project.
Clear statements regarding the costs and the schedule of the proposed project areabsolutely essential. Applications and expert opinions may be submitted ineither German or English.
