Georgina Sweet Fellowship 2005

The trustees of the AFUW Inc EducationTrust invite applications for the biennial Georgina Sweet Fellowship to supporta woman postgraduate to undertake advanced post-first degree study or researchin any field, at an Australian university.

Value:  $6,000 Australian Dollars. The award may beapplied toward the cost of the successful applicant's studies, but does notinclude travel expenses. Payment will be made in two halves, subject tosatisfactory progress by the candidate.

Tenure:　The Fellowship must be taken up in theacademic year of 2006, between January 1st to December 31st. The successfulcandidate may elect a period of not less than 4 months and not more than 12months, by agreement with the trustees.

Eligibility:       An applicant must:

                       * hold a degree from arecognised university

                       *be a financial member of a National Federation or Association of theInternational Federation of University Women

                       *be formally accepted by the university at which she proposes to study                                                              

Application:    An application must be submitted BY THEIFUW NATIONAL FEDERATION OR ASSOCIATION to which the applicant belongs, on herbehalf. Australian applicants may submit their applications directly.　                        Please enclose acheque/money order for A$15 made payable to AFUW Inc.

In the case of an IFUW independent member,her application must be submitted through the Secretary-General IFUW, 8 rue del'Ancien Port, 1201 Geneva, Switzerland.
