Georgina Sweet Fellowship 2005 - AU$6,000

The trustees of the AFUW IncEducation Trust invite applications for the biennial Georgina Sweet Fellowshipto support a woman postgraduate to undertake advanced post-first degree studyor research in any field, at an Australian university.  

Value: $6,000 Australian Dollars. The award may be applied toward the cost of thesuccessful applicant's studies, but does not include travel expenses. Paymentwill be made in two halves, subject to satisfactory progress by the candidate.

Tenure: The Fellowship must be taken up in the academic year of 2006, between January1st to December 31st. The successful candidate may elect a period of not lessthan 4 months and not more than 12 months, by agreement with the trustees.

Eligibility:
An applicant must:
* hold a degree from a recognised university
*be a financial member of a National Federation or Association of theInternational Federation of University Women
* be formally accepted by the university at which she proposes to study

Application:
An application must be submitted BY THE IFUW NATIONAL FEDERATIONOR ASSOCIATION to which the applicant belongs, on her behalf. Australianapplicants may submit their applications directly.

Please enclose a cheque/money order for A$15 made payable to AFUW Inc.

In the case of an IFUW independent member, her application must be submittedthrough the Secretary-General IFUW, 8 rue de l'Ancien Port, 1201 Geneva, Switzerland.
