The Advanced Surface Technology Research Laboratory, ASTRaL (Lappeenranta University of Technology) in Mikkeli is seeking:
POSTGRADUATE RESEARCHERS (2) (salary 1.700 – 2.500 e/month)

for fixed term appointments until the end of 2007. The contracts may be extended, depending on further funding.

The area of work will be in thin film deposition and the applications could be in electronic and electrochemical materials, magnetic films or biocompatible materials and may involve collaboration with local companies.

For the postgraduate researcher positions, the applicant should preferably have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a discipline related to the research area. Some experience in coating technologies or material characterization would be an advantage. Good skills in English are needed. The successful applicants will be expected to register for a Postgraduate degree.
