Finland: PhD Positions in The Field of Modelling of Random Media and Metamaterials
The Electromagnetics Laboratory of the Helsinki University ofTechnology (TKK) is offering two graduate student positionsin the field of modelling of random media and metamaterials.
The candidates should have a Master of Science degree in ElectricalEngineering or Physics or a related field, with emphasis onelectromagnetics and/or materials. To finish the Ph.D. degree in TKK,the average time after the Master of Science is around four years,including the course work and the doctoral thesis.
There is no tuition fee at the TKK. The position includes salarycomparable to ordinary graduate school students in Finland. In additionto the research work, the graduate students are expected to participatein sharing the teaching activities of the laboratory (the requiredteaching load of graduate students is normally around 5-10% of theirworking time).
