Europe: MSc European Forestry Scholarships Erasmus Mundus
The MSc EF is a 2-year double degree programme co-organised by thefollowing six European Universities:
- University of Joensuu, Finland (Coordinating University)
- Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg, Germany
- Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Sweden
- University of Lleida (UdL), Spain
- University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna(BOKU), Austria
- Wageningen University, The Netherlands
Since the start of the programme in 2002, the MSc EF providesacademic education in forestry focusing on the internationaldimension of sustainable forest management issues. The programme isan extra dimension to the already existing educational markets inforestry and nature management in Europe. In this programme, Europeanforestry universities collaborate intensively to offer joint coursesas well as their existing curricula, based on the knowledge andexperience of forest management for which European Forestry was thecradle centuries ago.
The international dimension of the programme is strengthened by thePartnership established with the Universities of Kwa-Zulu Natal inSouth Africa, Federal University of Parana in Brazil and NorthwestAgriculture & Forestry University in China.
The MSc EF programme is open to students and professionals from allcountries. Minimum requirements for studying the MSc EF include agood level of English, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent inforestry or other related disciplines.
The next MSc EF 2007-2009 Course will start in autumn 2007. Deadlinefor applications is 31st December 2006.
