Donald Dyer Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Public Relations & Communication Management.

Stipend: A$22,200 per annum(tax-free) Plus one return travel airfare between the candidate's home location andAdelaide, and organised by the University

The Donald DyerScholarship has been established at the University of South Australia to encouragepostgraduate and other advanced research of an original nature leading to the advancementof knowledge in public relations and communication. The scholarship has been made possibleby a generous bequest to the University from the estate of the late Sylvia Dyer.

The scholarship recognises the pioneering work of Mrs Dyer's late husband, Donald Dyer,in establishing the PublicRelations Institute of Australia in South Australia.

Applications areinvited for a postgraduate research degree scholarship from persons with a first classhonours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant undergraduate field of study. The successfulapplicant for the Scholarship will be required to undertake research in a specific topicin the fields of public relations, communications management. The scholarship includessupport to attend Public Relations Institute ofAustralia and other conferences at local and national levels to presentthe results of research. The Donald Dyer scholarship holder will join approximately 30other postgraduate research degree students currently studying for PhDs or Masters byresearch in the School of Communication, Information and New Media.

The Scholarship will also cover the financial obligations of the student contribution amount for Australians or the tuition fees for international studentsfor the normal period of candidature.
