Advanced vehicle transmission research

A fully funded Engineering Doctorate Research studentship is available to work in association with a major UK based engine manufacturer and an Australian powertrain development company.

The 4 year EngD will include an integrated management component taught within the Cranfield School of Management Executive MBA program, one of the foremost in the UK. The research component of the study will include the development of evaluation techniques and performance optimization of a unique transmission system concept designed by the projects sponsors.

A fully funded Engineering Doctorate Research studentship is available to work in association with a major UK based engine manufacturer and an Australian powertrain development company.

A good background in mechanical engineering is required and the candidate must be highly motivated to drive the research forward. Project management training will be provided to enable the candidate to integrate their research within the design and development being undertaken concurrently by the sponsors. A 1st class or 2(i) Hons BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline will be required.

A good (tax free) annual stipend has been secured from the sponsors and the EPSRC EngD program.
