Scholarship details
* The scholarship holder is expected to participate in the departments’ various research projects that are relevant to his/her PhD.
* The scholarship lasts for one year but may be extended twice for a further year.
* The scholarship holder is expected to work regularly at DIW Berlin but they may request to spend part of his scholarship (usually a period of six months which may be extended by a further six months) at a foreign (or in exceptional cases at a domestic) research institute.
Requirements
* You have successfully completed a Masters degree in economics or a related subject (with a minimum grade of B or 2.5)
* You intend to finish your PhD at a German university or a comparable foreign institution and you have gained all the necessary academic qualifications to register for a PhD at a university.
* You work well in a team.
* You are able to speak and write English fluently. Some knowledge of the German language would be helpful, but is not essential.
* Ideally, you have completed some economic studies (preferably research abroad).
* You preferably have some experience in designing and implementing (research) projects.
