PhD and postdoc positions in Numerical Analysis of X-ray data

Four Ph.D. and post doc positions are available at the Centre of Excellency:”Metal Structures in four Dimensions” at Risoe National Laboratory inDenmark. The center has been the pioneer behind a new x-ray imaging techniquefor in situ 3D visualisation of materials, known as 3DXRD. This technique isbased on tomographic reconstruction principles and very large data sets,emerging from 3D detectors. We have a close collaboration with groups inapplied mathematics, e,g. CUNY.

The candidates will be part of an international network aiming at the designand implementation of new algorithms for 3DXRD. We seek candidates with astrong background in scientific computing. An interest in tomographicreconstruction or image analysis or the implementation of large sets of linearequations would be favourable.
