CIMO Fellowships

The CIMO Fellowships programme is open to young researchers from all countries and from all academic fields.

The scholarship period may vary from 3 to 12 months. The monthlyallowance is 725-1 000 € (in 2004). The exact amount varies accordingto the academic qualifications of the recipient and to the supportgiven by the receiving department. The scholarship is intended to coverliving expenses in Finland for a single person. No additional allowancefor housing is paid. Expenses due to international travel to and fromFinland are not covered by CIMO.

How to apply?

The prerequisite for applying is that the visiting researcher must haveestablished contacts with the Finnish host university. The Finnishuniversity department wishing to host him or her applies to CIMO forthe grant.

Applications should be submitted at least 3 months before the intended scholarship period.
