Canada: German-Canadian Studies Research Scholarship
The Chair in German-Canadian Studies at the University of Winnipeg offers one RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIP at the Master’s level for the year 2006.
AMOUNT $6,500 (CAD) Master’s level (non-renewable)
NOTE: Research scholarships at the doctoral level are not available in 2006 but will be available again in 2007.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Students who are enrolled in graduate studies at a Canadian university in such disciplines as (but not limited to) history, linguistics, literature, sociology, geography, political science, economics, or cultural anthropology, AND are writing a thesis (or equivalent) on a German-Canadian topic.
2. Students enrolled at a university outside of Canada who have completed their first degree or equivalent to the Bachelor of Arts, are working towards a higher degree, AND are writing a thesis (or equivalent) on a German-Canadian topic. To qualify, students must plan to carry out substantial parts of their research in Canada and must be associated with a faculty member of a Canadian university for the duration of their stay.

After you have been admitted to your graduate programme with an approved research proposal on a German-Canadian topic, you may apply to the Research Scholarships in German-Canadian Studies programme. Application forms can be downloaded at:
