The Bologna reform
European higher and university education has been subject, for severalyears, to an important reform, aiming at improved harmonization ofstudent curricula within the European Union, with a view tostrengthening the mobility of the European citizens.
This reform, the so-called Bologna reform, by the name of theItalian city where was made the decision of the member states of theEuropean Union to proceed to this reform, came into effect in Belgiumin September, 2004.
It will also have an influence on the status of theinternational courses proposed by C.I.U.F ., from the academic year2007-2008 on.
CIUF will proceed in a near future to elaborate an informationstrategy of their partner institutions in developing countries, as wellas of the target public for the international courses, in order tomaximize the dissemination of indications concerning the effects of theBologna reform on the university and post-university studies of thenationals of developing countries.
