The scholarships:

• Coverstuition fees (normally 3 years for a doctorate and 2 years for Mastersdegree) and basic health care cover for scholarship holder anddependants (if dependants are travelling to Australia)
• Available to International Candidates (except New Zealand) commencing Doctoral or Masters level research programs in 2006
• Up to 6 scholarships are available
• Awarded on academic merit and research capacity

Note: you are not eligible if:

• You already have Masters degree by research or PhD and are applying for the same degree
• You have already commenced study before 1st January 2006
• You have completed study on an AusAid scholarship less than two years prior to application

• Completethe IPRS application form and a referee report form and attach to theInternational Application Form for study at the University of Tasmania

  • IPRS Referee Report Form (word doc)
  • International Application Form for Study at UTAS (pdf file)
• Closing date for applications 30 September 2005. No late applications will be accepted
• Successful applicants will be notified in December 2005
• Applicants must accept the offer of a scholarship by the date noted or the offer will lapse
