Australia: Australian Federation of University Women - Queensland Fellowships

This fund assists women with tertiary qualifications to increaseknowledge and broaden experience through studying or working indifferent environments. Fellowships have been awarded to supportstudies in a range of disciplines, including marine biology,architecture, law, literature, radiography, mathematics, socialwork, archaeology, economics, molecular biology, management, music,information technology and performing arts.
The fund offers twofellowship programs. The Freda Bage Fellowship is awarded forpostgraduate research for a maximum of three years. CommemorativeFellowships are awarded for postgraduate study for a maximum of oneyear. Fellowships are not restricted to formal university study andare tenable at any university or approved institution in Australia.However, the Freda Bage Fellowship is not tenable at the institutionfrom which the applicant obtained her first degree. If an award ismade to an Australian citizen, it is also tenable overseas.Fellowships are open to women graduates of universities orrecognized tertiary institutions from any country. Women on full-time salaries or on fully paid study leave during the fellowshipyear are not eligible to apply. Amount: $A17,267 each.
