Eligibility Requirements
Preference is given to applicants whose fieldwork or basic research iscomplete and who need time to write manuscripts. Predoctoral candidatesmust be advanced to candidacy by December 1st.

Stipend
Stipend of up to $40,000, an apartment and office, library assistance,and other benefits during a nine-month tenure are offered.

Program Description
Six scholars will be awarded one of three types of fellowships that areoffered to predoctoral and postdoctoral scholars to pursue research onhuman culture, behavior, history, or evolution at the School of AmericanResearch. Nine-month tenure is from September through May.
