USA: Research Positions at San Diego Supercomputer Center
The Scientific Computing Applications group at SDSC will have multipleopenings for scientific computing experts. Candidates are expected tohave computational science research experience in a domain science orfield (physics, molecular dynamics, bioinformatics, engineering, chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, climate/weatherscience, geo science, computer science) and parallel programmingexperience using MPI. In addition candidates are expected tohave knowledge in numerical methods such as domain decompositiontechniques using finite element or finite difference methods, andparallel mathematical libraries (linear system solvers, FFT,random number generators). Staff, from the Scientific Computing Applicationsgroup, collaborate with SDSC’s national user community in variouscomputational science fields and enable their computational work utilizingSDSC’s high end computing and data resources. Recent Ph.Ds are encouragedto apply. Please contact Amit Majumdar (majumdar@sdsc.edu) for furtherinformation.
