USA: Postdoctoral Scholar Position in Biofuels
The Department of Plant and Microbial Biology at the University of California, Berkeley has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Scholar - Employee to develop a new research project relating phytoremediation with the production of biofuels. Experience in generating and characterizing transgenic plants using molecular biology and plant tissue culture techniques preferred. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in developing funding opportunities for this project.
A doctoral degree in plant molecular biology/biochemistry required. Starting salary is $32,304, plus benefits. Applicants must have received their Ph.D. within the last five years. Applications must be received by May 5, 2007
This position is appointed on yearly basis, with the possibility of renewal depending on performance and the availability of funds.
