We are searching for a Post Doc in Nanoparticle Materials for the Surface and Interface Science Department at the Albuquerque facility. This is a Limited Term position. The salary is $74,200 per year. A benefit and relocation package is available. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:
Engage in various methods of inorganic nanoparticle formation, chemical studies of inorganic-organic interfaces, particle formation growth and stability studies. Help lead research-related activities including: nanoparticle formation, nanoparticle analytical methods including TEM and UV-Vis, and organic surface modification of nanoparticles. State-of-the-art facilities are available for materials growth, fabrication and measurements.

Requirements
A recent PhD in the area of chemistry, materials science, solid-state physics, or chemical engineering is required. Experience with electron microscopies (e.g., HRTEM, SEM), UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, and/or physical analytical methods (e.g., surface area analysis, chemical analysis (ICP-MS), FTIR) is highly desirable. Should be able to demonstrate soft skills appropriate for interfacing with a wide variety of internal and external collaborators on various projects.
