One Postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Division of Molecular Radiation Biology/Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Texas Health Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. The applicant will work on elucidating the biochemical and genetic basis of radiosensitivity associated with a biologically distinct subset of non small cell lung cancers. Projects will involve mechanisms underlying repair of radiation-induced DNA damage, receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, and signaling pathways that regulate radiation-induced cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, or other related fields, with a strong record of creativity and scientific productivity. The candidate must be creative, self-motivated with clear career goals, possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, and be capable of working independently or with minimum supervision in a collaborative setting. Candidate must be able to handle more than one project and work in a fast-paced work environment.
