The Department of Mathematics at Temple University anticipates an opening fora one- to two-year position as Assistant Research Professor of Mathematics tocommence on 1st July 2006. This position has a reduced teaching load, sincethe candidate will be working in an externally-funded project “SchwarzPreconditioners for Krylov Methods: Theory and Practice,” coordinated byProf. Daniel B. Szyld. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics(or related field) by the time of appointment, and experience in one or moretopics of the above mentioned project.
