USA: Postdoctoral Position in Cancer Research, Johns Hopkins University
Opportunity for a funded post-doctoral research position in a cancer biology laboratory focused on development of novel therapeutic strategies for lung cancer. This is a dynamic well-supported basic and translational cancer research laboratory led by a program director in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, with active ongoing collaborations with several laboratory and clinical investigators. Applicant must have a sophisticated understanding of molecular biology techniques and a solid foundation in the underlying science, with relevant laboratory experience. Prior experience with mouse models of cancer a major advantage. Should be able to work independently and manage daily research projects. Will have the opportunity to supervise and teach laboratory technicians and other new lab members. Will take a lead role in the design of experiments, analysis of data, writing of manuscripts and grants, and presentation of work at institutional and national meetings.
Qualifications:
Advanced graduate degree (PhD or equivalent) in molecular biology, cancer biology, or a related field awarded or anticipated at time of application.
