USA: Postdoc Position in Applied Mathematics at North Carolina State University
The Center for Research in Scientific Computation at N.C. State Universityexpects to make several post-doctoral appointments beginning in the summer orfall, 2006 (availability of the positions is contingent upon funding). Theappointments will be in the area of applied mathematics and scientificcomputation.
The research interests of the Center include mathematical modeling, analysisand control of partial differential equations, numerical optimization,computational fluids and flow control, numerical methods for transport inporous media, stochastic partial differential equations, computationalelectromagnetics, multiscale modeling of high performance materials andbiomathematics. Successful applicants will be involved in research programs inthe Industrial Applied Mathematics Program, administered by the Center, whichoffers a unique opportunity for post-doctoral research on mathematicalprojects arising in industrial/governmental laboratories.
