We are looking to appoint two research assistants to work on a joint project between several departments in Oxford University and GE Healthcare looking at opportunities to improve the quality of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) patient management by developing an integrated to staging, treatment and response monitoring of the disease using a combination of MR imaging and geonomic profiling.

The successful candidates will have a higher degree, preferably a doctorate, in a relevant subject such as engineering science, physics, maths, computing science or biology together with a track record of published work concomitant with age and experience. Experience of working in image analysis and a demonstrated ability in applied mathematics and developing mathematical algorithms in a modern computing environment (eg Matlab, C++) under Linux/Windows are essential. The ability to work in a team with a demonstrated ability to write clear, correct and concise English and a willingness to contribute to the supervision of graduate students and undergraduate projects are desirable.

The starting salary will be in the RA1A scale £19460 - £22507 and £19460 - £23643(national pay award pending)
