UK: Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Mathematical / Tissue Engineering
Developmental Origins of Health and Adult Disease (DOHaD) - Bone and Joint Research group
Applications are invited for an enthusiastic postdoctoralresearcher to join a group investigating mathematical modelling andtissue engineering approaches using mesenchymal stem cells to skeletalrepair.
This post, based within the Bone and Joint Research Group, withclose interactions with the School of Mathematics (Prof Colin Please)and Bioengineering (Prof Mark Taylor), is funded by the BBSRC for 36months and will examine the potential of predictive mathematicalmodelling for 2D and 3D bone cell growth to optimize bone formation.Experience in mathematical modelling in relation to biology isessential. Previous knowledge of bone cell biology is not essential.

The post is full-time and fixed term for 36 months. Salary will be £22,774, within the range of £22,774 to £28,009 per annum.
