Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Applied Mineralogy/Electron Microscopy
This instrument compliments and augments our research activities in thefields of mineral processing and fuel technology. To develop andmaximise the potential of this instrument, an individual is requiredwho is highly skilled in the following areas: electron microscopy,mineralogy, material characterisation and preparation of mineralsamples. Ideally, candidates should also have experience of deliveringhigh quality research to industry, project management and reportwriting.
The successful candidate will be required to contribute to, and enhancethe teaching of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Candidates must have a relevant PhD. In addition, candidates should becreative and innovative individuals, committed to conducting andfacilitating world-class research and capable of contributing toresearch across the School. It is likely that the successful candidatewill have a background in mineralogy, material science or electronmicroanalysis. However, applications from outstanding candidates inother disciplines are welcomed.
Salary will be within the range £19,460 - £29,128 per annum, dependingon qualifications and experience. This post is available immediatelyand will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of up tothree years, depending on qualifications and experience.
