UK: Postdoctoral Position in Complex Fluid at Cardiff University
Successful applicants will undertake research as part of an EPSRC fundedPortfolio Partnership on Complex Fluids and Complex Flows, a collaborativeinter-disciplinary initiative with the University of Wales Swansea, in thefollowing area:
‘The Prediction and Validation of Contraction Flows of Complex Fluids’
The principal aims of the project are to undertake a quantitative comparisonbetween experimental and numerical simulation studies for a range ofwell-characterized polymer solutions and melts and to formulate appropriatemathematical models. You should have a PhD, or be close to completion, inapplied mathematics or engineering. The ability to write numerical softwarewould be an advantage. This post is fixed-term for 30 months.
Salary: £19460 - £29128 per annum.
