The Environmental Remote Sensing and Image Processing Laboratory (ERS-L) at the City University of New York (CUNY) is looking for one highly motivated theoretical and experimental Post Doctoral Researcher in the field of water resources modeling to start in Fall 2006. Experience in one or more of the following areas of research are expected: satellite remote sensing; microwave remote sensing (passive and active); climate change impacts on water resources, land use/ land cover changes.

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. degree in water resources, hydrology, atmospheric sciences, meteorology or related field. Specific skills are expected in physics of remote sensing, satellite image processing, statistical analysis and algorithm development.

The original appointment is for one year. Extension is possible depending on availability of funding and performance.
