UK: Post Doctoral Research in Structure/function Analysis of Nucleosome Remodelling
Protein Structure and Physical Biochemistry
We are offering a 3 year training and development position for apost-doctoral scientist who has either recently completed his/herdoctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline, has limitedprevious experience of key transferable skills, or is clinicallyqualified with little or no research experience. It providesopportunities to develop research project skills and developcollaborative links with colleagues within the Institute and elsewhere.
Position for a structural biologist to study nucleosome remodellingcomplexes as an extension of our work on histone signalling [see Cell111, 105 (2002); Nature 421, 652 (2003); Nature 432, 353 (2004)]. Theproject will combine single particle electron microscopy withcrystallographic and biochemical approaches as a joint position betweenthe Divisions of Protein Structure (Gamblin lab) and PhysicalBiochemistry (Rosenthal lab).
You should be highly motivated and have a strong background instructural biology preferably with experience of electron microscopy.

Salary for this position is from £25,858 to £31,343 per annum(inclusive of Location Allowance). Membership of MRC Pension Schemeavailable.
