UK: Post Doctoral Research in Neuronal Subtype Specification in The Midbrain and Hypothalamus
We are offering two 3 year MRC funded training and developmentpositions for post-doctoral scientists who have either recentlycompleted their doctoral studies, are moving into a new researchdiscipline, have limited previous experience of key transferableskills, or are clinically qualified with little or no researchexperience. The positions will provide opportunities to developresearch project skills and develop collaborative links with colleagueswithin the Institute and elsewhere.
Applications are requested from highly motivated individuals to studythe mechanisms regulating neuronal subtype specification anddifferentiation in the ventral midbrain and hypothalamus using genetic,embryological and functional genomic approaches in mice (See MOD 118,57 (2002); Nature Neuroscience 6, 454 (2003); J. Neurosci. 25, 4856(2005) for earlier work).
You should have a working knowledge of molecular biology; and/orexperience of mouse genetics, developmental biology or cell biology.

Salary for this position is from £25,858 to £31,343 per annum(inclusive of Location Allowance). Membership of MRC Pension Schemeavailable.
