The UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, in collaboration with theForeign & Commonwealth Office of the British Government, is pleased tooffersix UNEP-WCMC Chevening Scholarships in Biodiversity, beginning inOctober2006.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to spend a year at theCambridge-based Centre, where they will work alongside our experts tobuildthe knowledge base on biodiversity. They will provide informationproductsand services to decision-makers ranging from UNEP to internationalenvironmental organizations to the private sector.

As with all Chevening scholarships, candidates are expected to be of ahighacademic calibre. Applicants for this prestigious award will be expectedtoprove their commitment to a future working in national and regionalpolicydevelopment and resolving biodiversity related challenges.
