Several postdoctoral and research assistant positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Omar El-Agnaf at Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University.
These positions are for enthusiastic scientists and good team players who would like to benefit from an attractive scientific environment in a newly established laboratory focusing on the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. Our research objectives include projects in basic molecular neuroscience with direct impact on the understanding of neurodegenerative diseases. These positions require a strong experience and background in molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. Technical skills in protein expression and purification, immunological assays (Immunofluorescent Staining, ELISA, SDS PAGE and Western Blots), microscopy and tissue culture are required.
The positions are supported by external grants and available for 2-3 years. The salaries, commensurate with training and experience, and are competitive and free of tax.
