The School of Electrical Engineering, www.ee.kth.se, KTH - the RoyalInstitute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden invites applicationsfrom outstanding candidates for post-doctoral research positions. Astrong research and publication record is required. The duration ofthe position is 12 months and may be extended for an additional 12months. The preferred starting date is September 2006.

We are seeking candidates to conduct research in two areas:

  1. Sensor networks, in particular protocol design, routing algorithmsand data link scheduling. The research will be part of the CROPSproject,which is run in cooperation with NTNU in Trondheim, Norway, and TKK inHelsinki, Finland. For more details see the project description atwww.s3.kth.se/commth/projects/CROPS/. The position is for WP 4:Network communication.

    The candidate should have experience from research in one or more ofthe areas: performance evaluation, protocol design and wirelessnetworking. A strong background in analysis of data networks, such asqueuing theory, is expected; knowledge of communication theory forwireless communication is a merit.

  2. Multimedia networking within one or more of our ongoing researchareas: content distribution in wired and wireless networks, includingpeer-to-peer networking, end-system multicast and delay-tolerantnetworking; host-based quality of service provisioning, and wirelesslocal area networks.

The candidate should have experience from research in one or more ofthe areas: performance evaluation, wireless networking, and networksystems design. A strong background in analysis of data networks isexpected, as well as good software skills and experience with prototypedevelopment.
