Spain: Postdoc Positions in Optics and Photonics at The Institute of Photonic Sciences Barcelona
The ICFO - Institut de Ciències Fotóniques is a center based in Barcelona,devoted to the research and education of the optical and photonic sciences,at the highest international level.
ICFO is currently offering post-doctoral contracts to well-qualifiedcandidates who wish to enhance their scientific training conducting researchin the following areas:
- biophotonics
- nonlinear optics
- nanophotonics
- quantum optics
- atom optics
- quantum information
- nonlinear microscopy
- optical trapping and tweezers
- optical parametric oscillators
ICFO welcomes applications from individuals with backgrounds in anyscientific disciplines related to optics and photonics. Persons withdisabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
No restrictions of citizenship apply to the ICFO post-doctoral contracts.
Candidates must hold an internationally-recognized PhD-equivalent degree ina field of science and engineering related to optics and photonics. Suitablebackgrounds include optics, physics, mathematics, electronics andtelecommunications engineering.
Conditions of posts
The contracts are offered for periods of one or two years, renewable for atotal of five years.
