Singapore: Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship
The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. It aims to promote the development of young and outstanding academics in science, medicine and engineering. The scheme is open to nationals of all countries.
Applications are invited from young and outstanding academics for positions with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, School of Computing, and the Faculties of Engineering and Science.

- New or recently graduated PhDs
- Below 35 years of age

Terms and Conditions
Term
The Fellowship will be tenable for up to 3 years, with possible extension for 2 further years. LKY PDFs can apply for academic positions following the Fellowship.
Remuneration
- Gross annual salary will be in the Assistant Professor range from S$72,000 to S$144,000 (approx. US$42,600 - US$85,200) with commencing salary depending on qualifications and experience
- Leave and medical benefits will be provided. Other benefits may include: provident fund benefits or special payment for foreign staff, airfare, relocation allowance and subsidised University housing.
Research Funding
- Research teams that succeed in having their candidates selected as an LKY PDFs may apply for additional research funding of up to S$180,000 for consumables and other operating expenditure needed for the research teams’ project. This additional funding is independant of the EOM or Faculty research budget
- Notwithstanding the additional fund, LKY PDFs will be entitled to the same eligibility as normal academic staff for research support, including research grants
