More information

Four new linked groups working on nanoscience (quantum computing, quantum nano-magnetism, next-generation coherent electron-wave microscopy, and our condensed matter theory group) were established in 2001 at the Frontier Research System (FRS) of RIKEN.

Applications are invited for several postdoctoral research positions in computational and theoretical condensed matter physics and out top priority: quantum computing.

More information on our team is available in
http://www.riken.go.jp/engn/r-world/research/lab/frontier/quantum/index.html

Our research is on several aspects of complex systems research and theoretical condensed matter physics, with special emphasis on quantum computing, superconducting qubits, microscale quantum circuitry, vortex dynamics, complex dynamics in materials, biologically-inspired solid-state devices, and novel nonlinear phenomena in materials. Positions will remain open until filled. Current priorities are on quantum computing (superconducting JJ qubits), and studies of vortex dynamics, although we are also working in other areas. RIKEN offers competitive salaries, and outstanding computational facilities.
