The Laboratory of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (LGCB) at theSwiss Federal Institute of Technology has an opening for aPost-Doctoral Fellow for 2 years, starting from September 1, 2005. Theresearch project will focus on advanced on-line monitoring methods inbioreactor, biothermodynamics of growing cultures or biocalorimetry ofphotosynthetic cultures. The successful candidate will also be expected to help supervise PhDstudents working in these areas. He should therefore enjoy interactingwith students and taking on a certain amount of scientificresponsibility for them. Candidates should dispose of a strong provenresearch background in biochemical engineering at the PhD level and ofa solid education in chemical engineering, chemistry or biotechnology.Although the major part of the daily scientific contacts are in Englishat EPFL, a willingness to learn the French language will be advantage.
