We are involved in an EU-sponsored project that aims atthe interconnection and integration of a large series of Europeanbioinformatics software packages and databases. Our tasks in thisproject include the outreach. This implies that we expect the candidateto have good communicative skills and to master the English languagereasonably well.

We expect the candidate to show us one or morelarge WWW-based projects that include extensive user interactions, gooddocumentation and help facilities, API-programming, and managementaspects. The candiate is expected to install and maintainGRID-middleware, and to incorporate this GRID in the work of colleaguesat the CMBI.

Although we do not necessarily require thecandidate to have a PhD, candidates can count with a salary inagreement with a normal post-doc position. The position is for threeyears.

One or more periods of one or more months of work at the EBI will likely be an essential part of this project.
