Post-doctoral position is available to work in organic synthesis in the Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology - New University of Lisbon (DQ/FCT/UNL), Portugal. The present project consists in the stereoselective semisynthesis of enantiomeric series of alkaloids with quinolizidine nucleus starting from an abundant natural occurring alkaloid.

The post-doctoral fellow will be integrated into an Organic Synthesis Laboratory that is included in an Associate Laboratory – REQUIMTE - rated with excellent classification by international evaluation panel. The campus of the DQ/FCT/UNL is located at the south coast of Tagus river about 10 km far from Lisbon.Applicants should have PhD degree in organic chemistry and experience in organic synthesis chemistry research.
