New Zealand: Postdoc Positions at The Centre for Atmospheric Research University of Canterbury
Applications are invited for a fixed-term Post Doctoral position withthe Centre for Atmospheric Research, University of Canterbury inChristchurch, New Zealand. The Fellow will work with mesoscale models -MM5 and/or WRF - on the University’s new high-performance computer.This research will mainly focus on numerical sensitivity analysis ofmesoscale flows in complex terrain, such as thermally forced flow in aninland basin in Central South-West Asia and katabatic wind overDarwin-Hatherton Glacial System in Antarctica.
This project is being undertaken in collaboration with researchers fromDepartment of Geography, and Gateway Antarctica.
The successful applicant will have completed a PhD in AtmosphericSciences or a related field. Preference will be given to those who haveexperience working with either MM5 or WRF on parallel computer architecture.
