Netherlands: Postdoc in Web Application Reengineering
This two year position is available in the Single Page ComputerInteraction (SPCI) project, which is a collaboration betweenthe Dutch National Research Center in Mathematics and ComputerScience CWI, Backbase, one of the market leaders inRich Internet Application software, and Delft Universityof Technology.
The SPCI project deals with technologies for creating richinternet applications, such as the recent AJAX (AsynchronousJavaScript and XML) paradigm. The research objective is to comeup with methods, tools, and techniques that can help to reengineerexisting web applications to new technologies offering richeruser interaction capabilities.
Topics that will be addressed in the project include
* Web application reverse engineering
* User interface reverse engineering
* Interaction design and interaction restructuring
* Aspect solutions for concerns crosscutting client-server boundaries
* Server-side software engineering implications of migrating from apage-sequence to communication with a single page representingthe user interface.
Requirements
Required education/skills: Doctorate
Requirements include:
* Completed PhD thesis
* Experience in one or more of the topics relevant to the project, illustrated by refereed publications in conference proceedings or journals.
* Team player
* Interest in collaborating with industry
