A 12 month post-doctoral fellowship is available from November 2005 funded by the Science Foundation Ireland.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry or Chemistry of Materials. This project is to develop magnetic iron oxide based nanocomposites for MRI and high density magnetic storage applications. The project aims to contribute to the development of nanoscience underpinning both bio- and information technology.

An experience in the preparation and characterisation of magnetic nanoparticles and related materials would be very useful.
