Germany: Research Fellows in Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW)
The Centre for European Economic Research GmbH (ZEW) in Mannheim is seeking to appoint research fellowsto its Information and Communication Technologies research group.
The successful applicants will have an honours degree in economics and a strong interest in theoretical and empirical analyses of current economic problems. We expect the candidate to provide a good knowledge of econometrics and the willingness to familiarise with new empirical methods.
A central task performed by the successful applicants will be the analysis of the impacts of information and communication technologies with particular focus on aspects of industrial organisation. Intensive support will be provided during the introduction phase by a well-established team of colleagues and an extensive programme of continuing professional development. We expect the successful applicants to contribute the ability to present the results of their research and economic policy work in a persuasive style in both German and English.
We are offering the opportunity to undertake challenging work as a part of a young research team. Extensive contacts within our national and international research network as well as international co-operations offer attractive prospects for the successful candidates. Continuing qualification in the context of postgraduate doctorates and postdoctoral qualifications is explicitly supported. Remuneration is based on the BAT statutory salary scale and its associated public sector benefits.
