Germany: Post-doc Position in Mathematics at Potsdam University
A POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IS AVAILABLE AT POTSDAM UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
The candidate should have a background in either applied mathematics or geophysical modeling. She of he should be willing to invest into the new field of geomagnetic modeling with the help of wavelet frames. The aim is to develop techniques to obtain high resolution models from heterogeneous data ( satelite measurements, ground data ). Besides a strong theoretical background he or she should have valuable experience in scientific computing. We expect a personality, who is motivated to work in a challenging interdisciplinary context area who is willing to cooperate with all involved partners ( GFZ, Potsdam University ). The financing is over 3 years.
